For most firms, AI is
already in the building.

Their people use it every day, with or without rules.

Most firms use AI.
Few can prove it is governed.

86% of mid-sized law firms use AI. 9% enforce a written policy.1

Ours are tested, signed
and measured.

We make your firm’s AI defensible in weeks, not quarters.

Here’s how we’ll set it up.

Step 1

Find every AI tool and put rules around it

Map and govern

Three weeks. An inventory of the AI your people already use, a policy written for your profession’s rules, vendor reviews, staff training, and one compliance check running live.

Step 2

Rebuild one workflow inside the tools you own

Build one workflow

Four to six weeks. One high-volume workflow, rebuilt with AI inside your existing systems, tested against your own past work and measured against how it ran before.

Step 3

Measure what the AI does, every month

Measure every month

A short written report on adoption, accuracy and compliance against the baseline, with a review call each quarter and policy updates when your rules change.

Intake time is down to 14 minutes a matter, from 42. Two cases a week still go to a person, as designed.

Keep the review step09:12

Personal chatbot use fell from 23 staff to 4 after training. The remaining four are in the litigation team.

20–150 people

Firms without an engineering team

Big enough to feel the risk. Small enough to move in weeks, not quarters.

Partners, administrators, COOs

For the people who answer for it

You will be asked how AI is used in your firm. We make sure you have the answer in writing.

Law, Insurance, Title, Accounting

Document-heavy professions

Work that runs on documents, deadlines and rules. That is where AI helps most and goes wrong fastest.

Who it’s for

We work with firms of 20 to 150 people in law, insurance, title and accounting.

Why Sterling

How it works

From first call to running, in weeks.

  1. Weeks of Foundation

AI inventory, policy, vendor reviews, training and one live compliance check.

  2. Weeks of Workflow sprint

One workflow rebuilt, tested and piloted with your staff.

  3. Months of Measure

A monthly report and a quarterly review, for as long as it is useful.

Team

Big-firm delivery, small-firm scale.

“I’ve delivered AI at a global law firm with 35 engineers and a platform budget. Most firms don’t have 35 engineers. Sterling Cognition gets them the same outcome without one.”

FAQ

Questions firms ask.

Why does this matter now?

Most firms already use AI without written rules. In Florida that now reaches the courtroom: since June 15, 2026, whoever signs a court filing certifies that every authority it cites exists and is cited accurately. Other regulators are writing their own rules.5

Do you give legal, tax or compliance advice?

No. We draft policies, checks and workflows. Your own licensed professionals review and adopt them, and they stay responsible for the advice your firm gives.

Where does our data go?

It stays in your systems. We work inside your environment with a scoped guest account. Our own tools only see public information, our templates and notes with client details removed.

Which AI tools do you work with?

Whatever fits, starting with what you already pay for. We have evaluated models from Anthropic, Google, AWS and Microsoft, and we resell none of them.

How is it priced?

Every project is a fixed fee for a fixed scope: half when you sign, half on delivery. Monthly measurement is a fixed monthly fee. You never pay by the hour.

Do you only work in Tampa?

We are based in Tampa and meet clients in person across Tampa Bay. Work elsewhere runs remotely, with the same process.
